Another thrif shop find from March. This is a sterling necklace with 5 Dutch "Zeeuws Knoopje" (translation Sealand Button, regional jewelry from the Dutch province Sealand).
Man would wear a Zeeuws Knoopje as a button. They would wear this as a throat knot, coat button or shirt button. The bigger the button the more imporant the owner. Woman would wear this a jewelry. As a brooch or on a hat pin.
Zeeuws Knoopje / Sealand Button were made in gold and silver. I never found a golden Zeeuws Knoopje, only silver. I have earrings, brooches and even a ring. This is the first necklace for me.
Masterwort was new to me .... being in Australia .... Astrantia Major. Beautiful flowers. Beautiful filigree.
