    Hi All,
I came across these old painted Russian Eggs at an estate sale here in Palm Springs.
They have been a mystery ever since.
I think they may possibly be painted by the famous pet and artist Maximilian Voloshin (1877-1932)
One is signed on the bottom
    “Voloshin” “Jaroslawl” “98”
    The other is signed
    “Voloshin” “97”
I have looked at many of his other landscape Watercolor paintings and the similarities are amazing.
The writing is under the glaze
Does anyone have information on his signature or if he has any other eggs out there?
    Thanks!

I think it says Yaroslavl. I hope that helps get you in the right direction. It looks like some type of early Russian pottery. Send photos to an auction house if you want to learn more.
