This pot is 12" high x 6" diameter. It is signed on the bottom. It is by Moline, Illinois potter Dorothy Beach, who operated a pottery called "Dot's Pots". I find very little trace of this pottery, now, and it may be inactive. The maker of this pot was tentatively identified through a lost artists blog that I maintained for several years. I posted art made by artists I could not identify on the blog and folks would try to identify the artist or share stories they had about art made by the same artists. One of my subscribers who was very good at identifying my mystery artists pointed me to Dorothy Beach and I remember contacting her, but don't remember how I found her. I think I was supposed to send her some images but became distracted by something shiny and probably never did so...
