Found this box that I could not resist. It is rather rusty and is missing the key but I had to have it for some reason unknown even to my self :)

What do you call a metall box in english? Tins doesn't sound right since it is not made of tin?

Keramikos Thanks for all that grate information! I have wondered about that word and now I have a better understanding. I am grateful. I don't think this is very old. From the dirt and dust that was on it I can tell it is not brand new :) :) from the shop but that is about it. Could be 20 years old or younger? At best maybe from the 80's but I think it is younger. But the way it had aged appealed to me. The rust. Perfect to put jewelry in since it is not rusty on the inside LOL :) :)

Elisabeth this treasure chest is wonderful, great place to store your beautiful necklaces! It may sound silly but this brings back memories of the treasure chest in my childhood fish tank, it was always a joy to see my colorful fish swimming around its colorful faux gems

The chest looks Asian, but can't decide which country, I also love the shape and the colors. Nice find.
