I purchased this doll recently.
Same exact doll as shown on page 46, "Doll Reader", January, 1994 issue. 35" tall, cloth Turkish-style doll was made for Valine's Perfume, circa 1915 , showing the influence of the Art Deco period with her theatrical-looking costume. The identical doll shown here and in this article was in the Dorothy Hesner collection.
Oh she is fantastic ! I have never seen her before but surely would have grabbed her up :-)
