I’m looking for information on this tall boy. I have found similar tall boys that empire made but they only have two drawers at the top. As a small child my grandma had this piece, her father owned a used furniture store and gifted it to her for her wedding. If my grandma was still with us she would be 97! Any help is appreciated

The curved pilasters and feet are American Empire style, but this is not an original 19th century piece.

Yours looks to be from the 20th century. I would think this is 1910s- 20s.

A photo of the back and drawer joint may help to confirm/ narrow the dating.

I added the drawer joints. I’ll be pulling the dresser out later today and looking for markings.

I figured it out. It’s an Amish old classic sleigh 7 drawer chest of drawers.

A link to what you found would be interested to see.

Sounds like a specific maker/ manufacturer's take on a SIMILAR piece-- I wouldn't draw the conclusion that this is by the same maker/ manufacturer.

Scott you are correct. I kept looking! I found similar pieces dating 1805-1840. American empire style sideboard highboy tall. I wish I knew exactly what it is. My grandmother received it as a wedding gift in 1944 from her father and he owned a used furniture store. I am refinishing it currently because it’s in sad sad shape. There are no markings anywhere and it’s really throwing me. There are a lot of lowboys and buffets this style but I can NOT find a highboy tall that looks the same except for the Amish made ones locally. They also didn’t start making them till 1979 so that’s not what it is. I’ve put hours into looking and I will continue. Makes me wish the library was open!

There were a heck of a lot of furniture makers in the early 20th century and without any markings it is tough to find a match.

Have you checked the interior of drawers and the back for any maker labels or marks?

I am confident it is early 20th century.

There are no markings my husband and I both looked it over from top to bottom multiple times.
