These are a collection of stamps set in resin. I did not put them there! These are some items that I acquired through work. Do these have any worth or value? Why would someone do this to perfectly good stamps is beyond me :). Was this a fad? Thank you.

This is a desk set. The round thing is a paper weight, the square thing is a pen holder, it seems you are missing the pen. These are decorative Desk Items, they are possibly hand crafted, or something like Folk Art. How ever, because they look well finished, I would guess they were mass produced. The key here is the 13 cent stamp, which is the highest rate. It probably dates from the 70s, early 80.
"Was this a fad?" Yes, Desk Accessories from the 60s and 70s often included Stamp motifs... I have in my collection a letter opener with clear plastic handle imbedded with stamps. Also, notebooks, address books and stationary all had both US and foreign stamps copied to provide the design.
I hope this is of some help.
