Jeff Little is a Central Illinois painter with a studio in Bloomington, IL. He was a student of well known artist Harold Gregor at Illinois State University, where he majored in graphic design. He worked as a commercial artist for State Farm Insurance Cos. in Bloomington.

Jeff has a FaceBook page and is listed on www.askart.com (https://www.askart.com/artist/artist/11206752/artist.aspx). The last two paintings are especially interesting as they were done on ceramic floor tiles.

"Fall Pasture", Jeffrey A. Little, 7" x 10", oil on paper. This was painted at a spot off of I-74 between Bloomington and Peoria, IL.

"Salty's Creek", Jeff Little, 12" x 16", oil. This painting is after a painting by Indiana artist Omer "Salty" Seamon.

"Ode to Samuel Palmer", Jeff Little, 9.5" x 13", oil on clay tile

"Mackinaw River", Jeff Little, 9.5" x 13", oil on clay tile

Thanks for your comment Eileen! Number 3 is a flat out tribute to the style of Samuel Palmer. Not sure if it is even a real place or something in Jeff's mind, copy of a Palmer work, etc. The fourth painting is really interesting to me as it take an Illinois painting/scenic style used by artists like Harold Gregor (who died fairly recently), Herb Eaton and Jeff and marries it with Palmer's style. Numbers three and four are also done on clay tiles which adds another dimension of how paint applies to and adheres to that medium. Jeff and Herb were both students of Harold. I don't think Jeff did many of these paintings on tile. They were an experiment. Jeff later did several larger mural commissions on brick buildings and other surfaces, so maybe these were preparation for that.

Jeff is actually not in this video of his work being applied to a building.
