    can anybody tell me how old and the make of this trunk, cannot find the key for the lock

      The above link should be the 1926 patent A.T. Long so it would not be older than that date. Many times a local locksmith can be helpful to find a key. It pays to get the numbers off the lock as they can be very helpful. I have even brought the trunk to the locksmith a time or two.
      Below are two similar style trunk fasteners for that time period ,patents that could apply.

      (Rigid edge construction) may have been trademarked by a manufacturer. (I'll keep looking.)Without a true makers label it is difficult to say. There were many makers of this style, Belber ,Well-built, Wheary, Hartmann etc. Below is a
      link to luggage and leather goods 1918 (a little earlier than your model) with all of the major manufacturers of the time period.You may find similar designs within these pages to help clarify the industry. much luck thanks for the post.

      That's not the easiest lock to pick, but a good locksmith shouldn't have too much trouble.
