All helmets are in like new condition, size 7 1/8, restored interior, and wearable. The standard colors are white, black, and orange. The green, yellow, blue, red, yellow/blue are very unusual for the original Bell Star. I’m always looking for any information for those helmets.

Thanks. I have a Vintage Bell Star helmet collection, a couple of vintage Bates Leathers jackets, a 1967 BMW R69S and a 1972 Honda CB350 K4. Thanks for the comment.

      Hey.
      Cool collection !!!
I recently bought such a shlme, but the interior restoration will take place. I don’t know where to start and what materials to prepare.
Can you share information, give advice?
By the way, I bought it not for collection, but for real use.
      Thank you

Sure. Slip a flat screw driver between the fiberglass helmet and the styrofoam shell. The shell is in two pieces (R & L). Gently pry the shell away from the helmet and pull it out. Then pull the black cloth liner away from the shell. The disintegrated foam is a slimy black mess. Put the cloth liner in the washing machine. Buy a small sheet of 1/2 inch foam pad from Hobby Lobby. Cut the foam to match the inside of each shell half. Glue the foam into the shell with spray adhesive. Cover the foam in the shell with the now clean cloth liner. Carefully push the refurbished shell back into the helmet one half at a time. The more you do it, the better you get at it. There are places on the internet that sell a padded foam liner to replace the old one, but I just use the above technique. You are welcome to email me at fittongr@gmail.com or call me (706) 226-7353 if you have any questions. Good luck.

      Hey.
Thank you very much for the detailed answer and contacts for treatment.
My helmet will be delivered to me by mail for a long time (I live in Kazakhstan), when I receive it, I will check its condition in detail and start working.
So far, everything seems to be clear, but if something does not go according to plan, I will gladly take the opportunity to contact you.
      Thank you!

HELLO CONGRATULATIONS FOR THE COLLECTION, DO YOU HAVE ONE TO SELL?
    7. Fitton, 3 years ago
veltro51 Sorry for the delayed response to your comment. Thanks. I don’t want to sell any of mine, but they have old bell helmets for sale on eBay. Remember: the original bells stars (not bell star ll) are better and worth more. Good luck.
