The item in pic 1 has 9 sections for holding tacks and nails. It was cleverly made by a shoemaker from old timber and a baby food tin. Each section can be lifted out as per pic 2. I really like the fact that it still contains tacks, eyelets and other items which are probably there since the last day it was used to repair a pair of shoes.
The item in pic 3 is a peg rasp. Shoemakers used wooden pegs to attach soles which left the points of the pegs sticking out on the inside of the shoe. The sharp edge of this tool was used to cut off the points of the pegs and the rasp used to file them down level. The last pic shows a close up of the rasp and some original wooden pegs.

Thanks to all for looking in and to lptools for the comment. I should have added that the rasp is made by George Barnsley, a well known English maker of shoe tools and is 19 inches long.
