925 Sterling silver marked ring. There is a makers mark like candle or stem with some branches (James Avery?). The stone has several colors purple/greenish in the middle but it's mostly purple. Is it mystic topaz?

It could be an alexandrite stone, they are known to change colors and are similar to the mystic topaz, but I am not an expert in this field. Very nice ring

Thank you. I really appreciate it. I have just started collecting jewelry recently (past 6 months or so)and reading and watching videos on gemstones. There is a lot of gemstones.

Hate to burst any bubbles here but not Alexandrite. Highly unlikely it would be set in sterling. RichmondLori is correct that the stone does have color change but not like this at all. And if it is James Avery, it would command a good amount just from the name.

Thanks. I think it is most likely a mystic topaz.
