Grannyglas…
(1 item)
I am so impressed with your collective knowledge of glassware! I am hoping that you can help shed some light on these tall sherbet (?) glasses, which my great aunt believes were a gift to her mother early in the 20th century. Unfortunately I only have these photos and no dimensions. There are no apparent markings on the foot, and as you may be able to make out, the foot and stem are pinkish amber, while the bowl includes a swirl pattern. Many thanks!!
This isn't one of my most familiar areas but they certainly could be Elegant glass of the depression era from one of many companies that are unknown. It doesn't look like a stem pattern that has been identified as by any of the major companies. You are right in that it is a tall sherbet or champagne. The design of the bowl is called swirled or twisted optic. They do like very nice glass and are very pretty.
