Here is a pair of 3"H x 5"W emerald green & amber glass squirrels made by Pilgrim of WV in the late 60s-early 70s, item no. 961. They also made a bushy tailed squirrel design that was item no 927, previously posted here by me in amber
Oh their tails!!!!
They're very cute! I adore the begging poses of both- you see squirrels in public parks that are so tame they do this- bound up to people and silently demand treats!
I’m another lover of those playful tails and expectant poses— just waiting for a treat, any second now.
These colors are great together!
That green stands out, so she must be a queen !~
Thanks so much all for the kind love

Lol Karen their long curly tails were so much fun to photograph so that they appear to be interacting! Love when the glassmaker has a bit of creativity with an animal and brings a smile, thank you for mine and the fun comment!
Lauren thank you for the super praise, these little beggars are definitely hoping to get their treats - I especially see it in picture #4 don't you :) These cuties would definitely be among my "feeder squirrels" of yore, who used to wait for me to put birdseed out then come pounce on it
Thanks Watchsearcher for the great comment and seeing the personality in these two, Pilgrim was so good at creating interesting glass animals & these are among my faves
MrsT thank you so much for your observant compliment those colors are quite compatible it's true! Always a kind word for me you're so nice
Lol Phil, yes being emerald color the green one must be a jewel of a lady! Thank you my friend for your fab upbeat comment :)
Thank you Adele for the kind love, very pleased you enjoyed these Pilgrim squirrels
Pilgrim's glass animals are so whimsical. Love these. So fragile, though....
Thanks Kevin for the great comment & love, totally agree that Pilgrim's critters are super fragile, it was a monstrous job packing them with other glass animals for moving, those little ears and feet are so thin & delicate I was always worried for them but most made it through OK - some casualties but not just Pilgrim, all I keep saying to myself is at least I preserved their memory in my posts :(
With thanks to you all for the love
