Well this is sort of weirdly gorgeous.
I would wear it in a heartbeat!
(I'm still trying to be gorgeous, mastered weird long ago)
It's an odd brooch alright...I love the segmented look of his tentacles, like a seahorse tail I think? And his one little eye reminds me of a fish? Maybe having lots more tentacles would look overly complicated on him too - right now, he looks like he's powering to the surface of the water, complete with bubbles too! :D
Wow! An octopus brooch - never though I would ever see one.
Nice - Castlecliff did a great job creating this!
Yikes. Now I know what’s swimming in my pool.
Wow, an octopus, how unusual!
Thank you for the love

Lol Karen, thank you for the unique compliment & outright laugh for me - yes it IS weirdly gorgeous!! First time I saw this I was mesmerized because you keep looking at this & it has so much detail, to me the head looks like a ship's porthole, and the fishy face has so much personality - so many octopus brooches (and there have been several, KJL for one) don't even give it a face, so it's pretty creative. You are not weird & are certainly a gorgeous person!
Lauren I hoped you would get a charge out of this one, you know how I love to post something different whenever I can, it's hard to find something really unusual in either jewelry or glass animals. You have the most splendid observant eye, yes the eye and lips are fish-like, and the tentacles become a wave on the right side, the designer had a lot of imagination here. Thanks as always for your superb comment
Thank you so much Hoot for the wonderful praise and enjoying this piece, it's a pretty cool octopus right! Agree with you that Castlecliff was very creative here, this almost looks like it could be a cartoon octopus & I love its design
Ha jb, absolutely watch what's swimming in your FL pool my stepdaughter in Cocoa has found snakes & gators in hers, luckily her hubby has a pool service company so he's used to handling "wild" wildlife! But seriously FL has so many beautiful animals and ocean creatures, how I miss coming down to visit the various zoos & sea parks, you are so lucky to have them nearby. Great & fun comment my friend thank you
Thanks MrsT for your fab comment, I was lucky to find this rare octopus by Castlecliff as I have never seen this in books or sold anywhere, love to find something that's pretty original and will wear it proudly - I think folks will get a jolt if I wear it around Halloween as it does have the orange & brown coloring :)
