How BIZARRE -- I woulda wanted it too! (ifn's I could afford it?) Almost looks like it could also be a tiny "fountain" if there's anything more than typical lamp wiring inside its base?? Sorry I can't tell you anything about it, but I like it! :-) (and lamps, by themselves, are pretty easy to fix/find replacement parts for...) Welcome to CW, too! :-) :-) :-)

Its a fairly recent lamp, within the last 30 years. They started making a lot of resin lamps starting in the early 90's and on forward to today. If the base is filled in, it usually is resin. The older metal lamps and statues had hollow bases. Sometimes they put a final base of marble to confuse the buyer and they assume it is metal. With resin, it has some weight to it. As a lamp it may have metal lamp fittings. The nice shades are reproduction also.

Hi there thank you for your reply , the base isn’t filled in , I just realised it has a pump so is also a water feature , it’s actually a huge lamp , it’s very heavy but not metal I don’t believe , I’m wondering if I could get it up and running , how cool would that be ????
