This is my favorite watch, it has a Longines 10.39 movement from 1925 by serial movement in a North American Wittnauer case. I understand it was illegal to import gold watches above 14K at that time. 18 Karat cases were made to be fitted with high grade Swiss movements.
The dial is as found and shows shadows of the hand locations from the radium over the years spent in that attic. Turns out a previous owner was the town watch repairer.
