Conrad Fries was born in Bavaria, Germany in 1851. Conrad goes into the soda water business with Rudolph Groeninger in 1882, he is 31 years of age. Conrad is also in business with his father Lorenz as L.P. Fries & Son. The family is in the brass foundry business. Around 1894 Conrad I believe is out of the brass foundry business and now is solo in the manufacturing of soda water. His family however will remain with the foundry for many years. I could never find out when Conrad died.
Rudolph Groeninger was born in Missouri in 1852. Rudolph is the son of immigrants whose father was born in Hesse Darmstadt and mother was born in Prussia. Rudolph is 31 years old when he goes into the soda water business. Rudolph leaves the soda water business in 1884 and goes to work for Griesedieck Brewing Company first as a bookkeeper then as cashier. He will move on to other adventures and in May of 1894, Rudolph dies at the young age of 41.
