    I got this from my grandparents estate back in the 70's. Any one have any background information on this brewer? Can any one date this sign, how old? Thanks for any help.

      Thanks for the comment. The bottom of the label states Oakland California with a phone number of Oakland 594. I was hoping the phone number might be a clue as to how old this sign is.

      That type of phone number would indeed suggest a late 40's/early 1950's age for it, to me anyway...? NICE sign anyways, and no doubt rather unique now!! :-) :-)

      The word "brew" was often non-alcoholic or used during and after prohibition. Not sure if you can read the fine print on the bottle,but this is probably near-beer.
