From the brief, mostly 6' apart from each other, memorial service yesterday morning in honor of the life of Dedrea L. Nathaniel, my partner's little sister, sunrise 20Jul 1973, sunset 12May 2020.
It was a lovely and meaningful service anyway. Afterward this flower arrangement ended up in my backseat, I grabbed a handy (vintage itself, one of two I've got that I've been meaning to show here too) old wire 'telephone stand' to otherwise put them out in my front yard for my neighbors and passers-by to also enjoy their beauty for an afternoon or two, until 'cut flowers' naturally expire.
I barely knew Dedrea myself, but hope she approves from wherever her spirit is now, free from her Earthly pains and tribulations. Rest in blessed peace, little sister. (-in law? something like that anyway, its complicated...)
OH -- and Phre5d the elephant ear is also in the background in pic 2...he's indeed seeming to be very happy himself out there in his new 'digs'...
;-) ;-) :-) :-) :-)
Beautiful arrangement of fresh flowers and a beautiful tribute to Dedrea.
THANK YOU ALL so very kindly, Watchsearcher, Cokeman1959, fortapache, vetraio50, RichmondLori, aura, Brunswick, keramikos, & Vynil33rpm for your sympathies and <love it> button punches, on behalf of not only myself but my partner as well, who also truly appreciates all y'alls thoughts.
FWIW, now 3 days later, the flowers are still out there in the yard and not looking half bad considering, there's been overnite showers the last few nites here that've undoubtedly helped 'em 'hang on'. :-)
