Two years ago, I posted a photo of my late mother's substantial collection of vintage wall pocket vases, which I'd inherited.
As much as I loved them, & also having been a regular contributor to, & curator of, her collection, I knew that ultimately I couldn't keep them all. Last year I decided that it was far better if I let most of them find new homes where they'd be displayed, as they'd been packed away ever since I'd prepared the old house for sale in late 2018. What with my own collection of glass requiring considerable space, I had to think carefully about which of the many wall vases I'd hold onto. In the end, these ones made the final cut - the best of the best. All of them date from the heyday of wall vases, the Art Deco period.
    1. Left, a chintz all - over floral pattern (named Julia) by Royal Winton, & right, Rosebud pattern on pale yellow ground by Royal Winton. Both marked on the back, Royal Winton Grimwades made in England. 1930s era.
    2. Left, geometric stepped green matte glaze wall vase with hand painted foxglove design, by Radford, & right, large conical pink matte glaze wall vase with hand painted anemone design, by Radford. Both marked on the back E. Radford England Handpainted.
    3. Left, lustre glaze & hand painted wall vase by Burleigh Ware, Burgess & Leigh, Burslem England. Right, geometric pastel matte glaze with embossed curl design wall vase, inscribed 1040 on the back, with no other maker's details - but it looks like Beswick to me.
    4. Left, geometric pastel matte glaze wall vase marked on the back, Empire Ware England. Right, a petal pattern uranium green Depression glass wall vase, most likely by Crown Crystal, Sydney, Australia

So the last one is not a CCG petal vase ???

I'm not sure, Kevin...I had three other Crown Crystal wall vases in the "pineapple" pattern but I never thought this was one of theirs...I'm far from an expert on Depression glass or Australian glass, so my apologies if I've got this one wrong.

Nor am I believe me but I have seen them recently on one of my FB groups. I’ve been doing research on the early days here on Trove.

All good, & I shall amend it shortly!
