Picked up this pressed back, leather seat, rocker at an estate sale of a couple that traveled the world collecting antiques. I cannot identify the maker. The ears look like Chippendale, the design on the back remind me of Hitchcock, the arms look colonial ... but I can't find anything similar. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What is it that is pressed? The image doesn't enlarge well at all but I don't see anything pressed. Could be my eyes so help me out here please or put in another closer photo of the back crest board.

You are correct. There is no pressing on the back, just the decoration. That was my bad.
