My father (80) gave me this clock. It was given as a wedding gift to his grandmother. I believe she was married early 1900-1910. I found Ansonia clock co on the key but nothing else. Just curious what it is exactly.

I found your family heirloom in one of my reference books.
Ansonia called this model the "Britannic", from circa 1886. Your clock could have been manufactured several years before or after that general date. The model was found in Ansonia's 1886 Catalog. It is made from Black Walnut and has a one day time and strike movement. The hour hand on your family clock may be a replacement. Considering its age, it appears to me that your clock has been well used and well cared for.

It auctioned for around $75 (with buyer's premium) back in 2010.
