Gorgeous set, the colours are still vibrant !~
This is a really beautiful and very detailed flower brooch and its perfect for this time of year. It brings to mind some tropical volcanic island somewhere in the south pacific or maybe even Hawaii? I could see it next to the tropical bird brooches you've uploaded from time to time :P
Wow, never seen this set before, very nice!
What a stunning set!!! As Broochman said, whomever owned this set originally took wonderful care of them. So eye catching and so well made.
Wow these are both stunning and beautiful.I love everything about these especially the color. Are you sure there hibiscus ??.Just a joke Jenni as I laugh whenever I see hibiscus after the in depth discussion about the cup and plates I posted here.
Many thanks to everyone for the love

Thank you Phil for the wonderful compliment, your always kind praise means so much to me. Yes the enamel colors are quite impressive for such an old piece esp Coro where you find many with fading
Ken thank you for the super compliments, yes this coral pink color is perfect for this time of year and I was very lucky to find this set in pretty fine condition. My mom had a favorite coral flowered dress and because her BD is around now this set reminds me of her
Lauren how did you guess that I picture these hibiscus flowers in Hawaii my favorite tropical vacation paradise! The hibiscus grow in many other warm places (Florida, Bermuda, California to name just a few) but it is Hawaii's state flower and I will always remember you see them everywhere there, in flower leis, in small trees on street corners etc. and it is also my very fave flower. Thank you for the lovely praise & for my tropical birds too, I have to look around for more of those
Many thanks for your kind words MrsT, I was so glad to find this rare Coro set, it's great to have something that has survived so many years and then like karma it comes back to be appreciated
Thank you Glamorously for the fab compliments, agree this was well made as in the 40s Coro did have some top designers, and what makes this special to me is that the hibiscus is an uncommon flower in vintage jewelry & it was a delightful find
Lol jb yes I well remember your hibiscus cup & all the opinions, sometimes people here throw out an idea and others jump on the bandwagon & run with it, just look at my Hobe shell brooch! But seriously I will always agree with you that your cup was an artist's interpretation of the hibiscus and the signature rosa was quite coincidental that its latin name is rosa sinensis, it is gorgeous :) Many thanks for your great compliments and very nice words that I always look forward to
Mani thank you so much for the love you are always so sweet & thoughtful
Amazing, Jenni. I am over the moon envious. Absolutely astonishing set in amazing vivid colour. Love it all!
Thank you Daisy for the wonderful compliment & love, I was so lucky to find this old Coro classic & I too love the coral pink enamel and of course the hibiscus flower which is my favorite :)
Very grateful six-0-one for the wonderful compliments & love, it's so kind of you and agree about these colors going well together, esp in this season
Thank you Phil for the love, I'm really delighted that you enjoyed this older Coro hibiscus set & very grateful for your kindness
this brooch is awesome, I came to visit it. wonderful colors and design.
Lori thank you so much for the love, sweet compliments & bringing back this Coro hibiscus set, always a fave of mine as it's my favorite flower, and I agree Coro did a really lovely design here. I am yearning to return to HI and see some real ones!!
