This 1 1-2" textured goldtone unsigned brooch is styled after the DeNicola astrology series of the 1960s and dates from that time period. With mini faux pearls around head and rhinestone symbol for Gemini, these Egyptian twins have their original tag but are unmarked.

Very cool- they look like two sphinxes alright, especially the pearl pieces which look like flowing manes. I can imagine them sitting side by side in some desert temple too. and yes, hard to imagine we're celebrating June already? My grandmothers a Gemini too :D

Thanks Phil for the super compliment, I too think the Egyptian design is lovely and quite intriguing, I think the headpieces make them look rather androgynous as in the days of yore both sexes wore them
Lauren thank you for the wonderful comment, they are certainly sphinxlike in appearance and I thought it was a very different Gemini twin pair than the usual that you see (often twin children). Hope your grandmother will have a fabulous June birthday!
