Jewelryant…

One of my favorite colors. I love this deep blue. I don't know if it is a sapphire or tanzanite or something else. Can anyone tell?I don't know how to tell if it's natural or man-made. It is an old ring though. The little dots are diamonds albeit tiny. It is stamped white gold and will need a loop to make out the rest.
I'd love to see a clearer photo of this ring. It's a beauty. Did you get a loupe yet? If you are collecting jewelry, it's a must have. For me it is anyway, I basically don't leave home without one. This could possibly be a tanzanite. I'd like to know what the other stamp inside the ring is. Even if it's a sapphire, you did real good, especially for just beginning to collect. And just to add, not all jewelers are on the up and up so be careful. I would take it to maybe a few different ones but make sure you keep an eye on the jeweler.
Thanks shareyourpassion. I will take it to a jeweler and tell them they gotta clean it and tell me what it is in front of me. I cleaned it gently with soap and water. I have a loop. I just need to take a picture with it when I get home today, if I remember, or next week when I am off work.
Hi, shareyourpassionI got the loop and took a picture of the other side it is BF in uppercase Italicized? writing. Hope this helps.
