This is the latest addition to my growing Mexican Jewellery collection. I have to start to streamline my collection soon, but the really good pieces are very expensive and right now I enjoy more the design and quality of a piece, even if it is not connected with a big name.
This choker necklace reminds me of some of my Brutalist pieces by Rafael Canada, even though it is not as massive as his jewellery. I would date it to about the same time period - maybe the mid-seventies.
Thanks for looking:)
Thanks so much for the love, fortapache, Brunswick, plein-air-painter, and aura :)
Many thanks, vetraio50, TreasureHunter-1 and Newfld :)
Thanks for your comment, Mary. Nice to hear from you. I hope all is fine. My travel plans have all been cancelled; no Martinique, Germany, and no Santa Fee in August. Oh well, it could be worse. How did your vacation turn out?
Cheers,
Gudrun
Mary, I am sad to hear your plans didn't work out. We are still in phase 1 here in the greater Toronto area. Some parts of the province will start phase 2 of the re-opening on Friday, but not us. Too bad. I won't go on a plane anytime soon even if it means forfeiting my multiple credits. I am too old to take a chance on an airplane and so is my husband, but we might drive to the north. We always enjoyed our vacations in a cabin in the wilderness. I keep hoping that things get back to some sort of normality soon.
Stay happy and healthy,
Gudrun
