I've been waiting for a local antiques centre to reopen, & today was the day. I spotted the doors open, & dashed over the road to check it out. Lots of new stock, including this cheerful piece of Czech spatter glass.
I recently acquired a vase in the same style, of an elongated form, so this is a nice counterpart to it.
Made from clear glass with a rainbow of spatter, it measures 13 cm tall, 6 cm across the top rim, & around 7.5 cm across the base, it has applied strutted legs in cobalt blue. Would have once had a brass frog, but maybe I'll find one someday to finish it off.
Anyway, it made me smile, & it was nice to do business in a shop that's been closed since March. The folks there looked very happy to be back on board, too.
Czech origin, perhaps by Kralik, 1920s/1930s era.
Colorful Beauty!
