This is my mom's New England sewing machine....Patt: July 13th, 1893
August 29th, 1893. She has had this machine for over 70 years. It is still
in good working condition. Just last year she made her last home made
quilt on this machine. Mom is now in a senior's home. She loved to set
and sew for hours on this machine. It is now setting in our home. I
would like to know some history on this machine and if it now has any
    value. Thank you........................Mae

Not an expert, if I recall my sewing machine knowledge right, New Williams was a Canadian company, and this model came out about 6 yrs before the first electric sewing machine. The metal works looks beautiful. My great grandmother had one, not in this condition and I'm sad now that my family sold it away for pocket change. I love this piece.

Only two drawers? Most cabinets have sets on each side, as far as I know. Awesome!

A double drawer even, hotkitties! The ones I've seen like this are single drawers on either side, though there have been full cabinets, not sure on the years of those though.

wow, thanks, this is the first time I've ever seen a cabinet with drawers on only one side, i love it! I just got an antique machine today!!

New Williams was made by Williams Manufacturing Company in Canada. The company started in 1861. It was called C W Williams until 1881. Your machine can't be earlier than the patent dates, and is probably between 1893 and 1900 in date.

I have a New Williams Treadle Sewing Machine I bought at a farm auction in rural Alberta, Canada about fifteen years ago. It is still in working order but I do not use it as I'm afraid of wreaking the one and only needle I have. My cabinet has two drawers on either side. Anyone have any idea of value ?
