I have taken a picture of the inside at the sonic and so I decided this morning on the trip for breakfast that I would take some shots of the outside. She is a 2017 Chevrolet corvette Z-06 that I bought new in 2018 when the price went down. She moves fairly well with 650 horsepower at the crank and 650 foot pounds of torque at the rear wheel before drivetrain loss. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

It's hard to beat the Corvette's power and handling for the price.
      Looking Good!

Thanks Hoot for looking and loving! I agree that the corvette horsepower versus dollars spent ratio is very good not to mention the handling and styling.

650HP is respectable. Seems perfect for cruising Route 66.

Thanks Mrs Tyndall and Anything for looking and loving! I appreciate yall! Fort....I can see it stretched out on 66 doing about 166!

That's a nice iconic American Sports Car Cokeman. Congratulations! I would be jealous but I know that I'd probably just end up in jail or dead with that much horsepower! :) That's a LOT of Machine there. I'm betting it can get away from a whole lot of folks in a heartbeat. Enjoy, have fun and be careful. I really like the color scheme too. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks Bruce 99 for looking and loving! Honestly, I have gotten it to about 100 and that's about it. It did get there pretty quickly though:) In the hands of someone who knew what and how to deal with it there is no telling what they could do. Top speed is 205mph. The car is beyond my current capabilities.
WesternPa....Thank you for looking and loving and the color is Watkins Glen Gray metallic. I polished it a couple of weeks ago with griots 3 in 1 ceramic spray wax and it really made the paint pop. Appreciate you!

Ed...this is the new lodge parade car!
keramikos......I don't like the casserole but my wife orders it everytime. I got scrambled eggs, turkey sausage, grits and a slice of tomato. Here is how you eat it....you take all of the above mentioned ingredients and you mix them all together in one pile and then you go to town on it. Go to town on it means you eat it faster than a possum eating grease in the backyard! The gravy and biscuits that come with it are desert:)

      Keramikos...you preaching now ! Amen! :)

I had forgotten about this post. Recently took it too the Chevy dealership and had the oil changed. They told me it was ready and when I inspected it they had oil on the door panel and steering wheel and up under the hood. The technician had not got into the car properly and had scrubbed a place on the seat. Does anybody do quality work anymore?

I work on my own classic/sports cars....it is more of a joy to do my own maintenance and knowing that is done right.

If they can't do good work on this car they should probably do something else for a living...maybe push a broom all day long.

Bruce99....I'm not much into belittling other peoples professions....
    14. Bruce99 Bruce99, 4 years ago
Thank Hoot60. For your information I have been a job of pushing a broom all day. It's not a "profession". It's a freaking job. I took pride in doing a good job and was moved up to driving a fork lift. I'll say it again, if some yahoo can't do a professional job on Cokeman1959's Vette, they need a job that requires less mental horsepower. Frankly, Hoot60, I don't care much for what what other people are into unless it has to do with their collections....

      Totally missed my point....move on.....
    16. Bruce99 Bruce99, 4 years ago
Really? Educate me then. Exactly what was/is your point?

While we're all waiting, here's my point:

Cokeman said..."They told me it was ready and when I inspected it they had oil on the door panel and steering wheel and up under the hood. The technician had not got into the car properly and had scrubbed a place on the seat. Does anybody do quality work anymore?"

We're talking about a Chevrolet corvette Z-06. We're talking about a $50-60K iconic American Sports Car. I would think that a mechanic who took pride in their work would be honored to service such a machine, not abuse it by getting oil over the interior and scrubbing the seat.

I commented, suggesting that someone like this should probably do something else for a living...like pushing a broom all day long.

You pop in, posting a comment directly to me stating...
"Bruce99....I'm not much into belittling other peoples professions...."
...which reads like a slam against me.

I responded telling you that I have indeed been paid to push a broom all day and you come back saying that I missed your point and that we should move on.

If you have a point make it or please, by all means, do move on....

Thanks COKE1234 for stopping by and loving! I sold her last year along with my bullitt mustang. I got one of the new broncos to replace them. Working on a 1951 international L160 currently.
