Can one really ever have *too many*...??? <giggle>
At top, a set of four ceramic/china (I only include the word 'china' because they were found in a small box labeled 'little china ashtrays', not to really imply what they're made of or where they came from) glazed in bright green, yellow, red, and black on their insides with white outsides. Interestingly all the glazes *except* the black are 'shiny gloss finish', while the black is 'matte'. Their bottoms are unglazed white clay, and they are unmarked.
Lower RH is a smoked glass example marked to be from the FRONTIER HOTEL, which I think is/was in Las Vegas. (might be wrong on that?)
Lower LH (and pic 4) is my favorite of this group I think because of its interesting clear glass design, not only its general shape but the ridges inside it and the shape of the cig rests. I just *like* it...??
All are shown here with a $2 bill for size reference, so's I don't havta measure them all individually... ;-) :-) :-)
I love the $2 bills....I have a few in my wallet to give as tips and they always are well received and bring out some smiles..... oh, and I love all the items you rescue so they continue to be useful and/or decorative and/or just fun to look at!
I love vintage ashtrays. Amber bubble glass is my favorite.
Thanks SO much Watchsearcher for your very kind comment -- and to keramikos (once more) for the awseome research! Can't argue with a good YouTube of a big building being imploded -- they SURE sent the old Frontier out IN STYLE?!! <LOL> You too VintageStately, I do believe I have an amber bubble glass one around here somewheres too, probably already shown. (?)
More appreciation to Watchsearcher, bobby725, keramikos, fortapache, racer4four, kwqd, vetraio50, Newfld, Ben, Vynil33rpm, Broochman, & Brunswick for stopping by and tapping your <love it> buttons!! :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)
