I do not know if this is solid or plated, probably plated. (?) Measures 9-3/4" across and 1-1/2" deep, its ornately patterned silver rim surrounds a rosewood (-ish) patterned plastic laminate surface.

On the underside of its rim it is stamped "THE SHEFFIELD SILVER CO. MADE IN U.S.A.". I have not yet attempted to clean or polish it (or even to research SHEFFIELD) beyond a quick wipedown with household cleaner to de-dust it.

I've had a number of these pieces over the years. They were popular in the 1960s-1970s as bar trays. Sterling ones are always marked "sterling" along with the maker's mark.
