I mentioned to our lovely Jenni the other day that I have a brooch someone told me was Juliana so I thought I would post it, and then some others forced their way into the post!!
None of these brooches are marked so for someone with as little knowledge as me that means anyone could have made them. These have all been picked up at various op shops and markets over years not months. Sorry about the crappy photos.
Photo 1: The green may be Juliana. The others are both claw set and oldish. The blue has lost it's pin but no matter.
Photo 2; The backs for those who know stuff
Photo 3: The colours look weird here because of the AB interference, but the brooch bottom right is essentially dark blue and red stones. The brooch bottom left is made up of amber and dark brown stones. Weird and cool. The starburst may not be very old and it's stones are glued, but what I really like about it is it is not symmetrical in stone placement or colour.
Photo 4: More backsides (not being rude here)
Am I in the cool gang yet?
Absolutely gorgeous brooch assortment, very fine pieces Karen! I can see a Juliana style in the green floral trio bouquet with the filigree petals & wire stems, it is truly lovely, and I love that pastel starburst
Thanks Jenni!
Am I cool like you now?
Most definitely Karen, but then, you've ALWAYS been ultra cool :)))
I feel better now Jenni :)))
Thanks for the love Ken.
I really like the pink one too, and it's the one I'm most likely to wear.
One day is my best day Sir Victor! I hope you get to come over, although not this year we are still in lockdown.
Welcome to the hip people. Very pretty pieces. Uou did good.
Love the starburst especially! Those pastels are very pretty.
You were already way cool, Karen! This is just some icing on the cake...
Thanks Rhineisfine, the starburst is very pretty indeed.
Icing, cake, yum :))))
Come on Karen I seen you wearing these at Woodstock with a tie dyed shirt.
Hi Karen, Very cool definitely. I'm with Eileen as I love the dangle type design, so that's my favorite! But the red one is really gorgeous, too.
Hip hip Hooray !! Who would have thought our glass Diva was hiding these guilty pleasures. Beauties all Karen :)
Ha, thanks Mike.
