Had fun today putting together some themed displays of my collection in honour of Pride Month.
With things being so different this year, it's an opportunity to find new ways of celebrating diversity & staying fabulous at all times.
1. Rainbow of Victorian & Art Nouveau glass by John Walsh Walsh, Welz, Kralik, & others, plus mini double rainbow of Czech glass buttons.
2.& 3. Showing my true colours with an array of glass hand vases & vintage buttons (the bluebirds are early plastic, the rest are glass)
4. An iconic portrait of Truman Capote with his collection in 1959 - including a turquoise opaline hand vase!
There are also some other pieces of Victorian opaline glass here - including an Atterbury lidded cat dish in turquoise & white. Also some fab Staffordshire type cat figures...
The photo is by Slim Aarons & was recently featured in an online exhibition of the world's most stylish men, recently presented by the Staley - Wise Gallery, New York.
This image has inspired me so much that I am planning a series of portraits with my collection...
Always fabulous but celebrate hard this month and stay proud!
Many thanks Karen, & thanks also to all the folks who loved this post!
