I found this lovely tray at a SAVERS thrift store in MD. with my Mother several months ago . She knows I love Asian / Oriental pretties and picked this up when we were together looking thru shelves , had a price tag of $5.99 on it ; too low to leave behind I thought . After some testing and search , this tray is the highest level of sterling silver and it is carved out with designs of Butterflies , floral and blossoms ; the tray has handles and it is 8" square . The underside surface is a Ginbari style and the interior has the colored enamel fill , with a total weight of 915 grams ; has the AG990 for sterling Korean mark .
Stores are still closed here in my local area and I can't wait to get back to searching for pretties , have been getting my enjoyment looking at others from everyone else (-: Stay safe
An awesome find - I would have snapped it up!
Yes yes yes, that happens so often with this high quality high grade silver enamel decorated pieces, people dont believe the numbers, and these are rare enough that they are not valued or appreciated, it has been my dream to find one of them.
Congratulations you and your mom make a good team. :-)
