    Just unearthed on our ranch in Maui, specifically KeoKea area upcountry. This is a stamped US brass? plate over steel/lead buckle/button? that measures 1.75 in. diameter.

    Anyone know what it is? what year? any information valued!

      Thanks Flashlarue! I looked it up and sure enough that's what it is. Makes me wonder why there was a pre-WWI US Army Cavalry horse up in this area....

      The 6th cavalry was sent to China and the Philippines prior to WWI. I seem to remember that they spent some time in the Hawaiian Islands.
