The square tiles are 6" x 6" and the oblong tile is 8" x 4". One is signed "JOM". Probably from a pottery class, but I have been looking for some yoga themed tiles for a long time with no success. I have practiced yoga every day for the past 20+ years. At the time I started to practice yoga, I had moved to a new city and was looking for a martial arts dojo but could not find a dojo that practiced a style I liked. Many years before that I had known another soldier who practiced yoga and had a physique that matched mine and many of my weightlifting acquaintances and he constantly extolled the virtues of yoga, so I thought I would give it a try. The feel of a yoga studio is similar in many ways to a dojo and I immediately felt at home. I have now practiced yoga about as long as I had practiced martial arts when I started my practice. If you are a martial artist or body builder and want to adopt a challenging fitness regimen that also has a strong spiritual component, try yoga. It has made my life better in every way and I have not had a serious injury from my practice which I can't say for weightlifting and martial arts..
Calling these a mystery until I determine who/how/when they were made. I will get better images when I am able to.
1. Ustrasana - Camel Pose
2. Sukhasana - Easy Pose
3. Salamba Sarvangasana - Shoulder stand
Thanks fortapache, Kevin and Ben!
Wonderful yoga tiles, very nice addition to an exercise room. I agree yoga has many advantages & have incorporated several stretch poses into my workouts for many yrs, good to know you practice it, it's so calming
Thanks for your comments, Jenni! Yoga has been very helpful as I age. I do a 30 minute yoga practice before weight bearing exercises to warm up and center myself four days a week and then do that practice as an intro into an extended yoga practice the remaining three days a week. I do inversions every day. Yoga resolved several chronic injuries that I had.
Thanks for loving my yoga tiles Jenni, fortapache, Kevin and Ben!
Thanks Vynil33rpm and Blammoammo!
