I picked this lamp up at a thrift store. It's really nicely hand painted. I believe it's a bird of paradise...that or a peacock or something. I don't see any markings on the lamp body, but haven't taken off the felt bottom yet. Anyone have any guesses on the maker / approx. age on it?
I adore this.
I don't know who has made it but my guess is Asian, either Japanese (likely) or Chinese.
It's because of the bird which looks very phoenix like to me, and because of the felt base.
