A seller on Etsy offered a few twisted glass “vintage beads from Japan” a few months ago.
I thought they were beautiful and I just had to have them.

They happened to be the perfect match for a “Lauren Conrad” enamel and rhinestone sunflower brooch I already had, so before long, I had made new necklace and earring set for myself.

The Etsy site is called “BonkersForBeads” and I did note that the seller has a few other twisted glass vintage beads from Japan and West Germany.....so, I thought Elizabethan’s beads might also be from one of those countries.
If she sees my post, I hope it helps her track down hers.

Thanks - interesting info to keep in mind. I’ve only had 1 issue with a seller and that was on eBay- the woman listed beads as “glass” and “silver” but the “glass” bead was glass seed beads glued into a wooden bead and the “silver” beads were silver-colored plastic beads....it’s funny now but at the time, it was like trying to communicate with someone from another planet. I marked it up as “a lesson learned“.

Thank you so much for the explanation about why almost no pierced earrings are seen here.
I did know that most, if not all, posted here are vintage and the time frames of “vintage” and”antique” but that was truly enlightening information about the Victorian’s reason for abstaining from piercing.

I knew there must be some logical reason for the lack of earrings with posts.
Thank you for taking the time to explain it- you are so kind.
