Opium smoking ,, Print Number 13 in picturesque Hong Kong
I wonder if they gave it unlucky number 13 on purpose
But why is it in a picturesque Hong Kong book from 1898

I could never work out why my father had a copy of ‘Confessions of an English Opium Eater’ by de Quincy. I think it might have been one of his uncle’s (the Bishop) books.

An Irish friend and I both tried opium decades ago and we both agreed that we would like to try it again to see if it was a good as we remembered. We both asked around, and the more we looked, the more it isn't here ! LOL ! Living in the Islands, we didn't think it would be that hard to find. Just doesn't seem to be available. Seems the dopers have moved on to more serious sh*t ! Don't need that ! Guess it went out with menthal cigarettes. Me not no mon.
