Nice. I am a fan of American diner mugs, too, and always pick them up if they are cheap. I have several Ultima mugs, but I am not sure if they are made in the US or China. I know pre-2000 American diner mugs sometimes had the word "China" on them (Buffalo China, Syracuse China, etc.). I cannot find good information on where/when/maker Ultima China was made, though. Mine look pretty new, though they are in the style of yours....

There were several Chinese factories making knock offs of Victor mugs and maybe there still are, so care must be taken when attributing Victor mugs.

Buffalo China outsourced some mug production to China before, or shortly after, it went of of business, too, so again care must be taken when determining if mugs were made in the US or China. Apparently, the Buffalo factory is still sitting empty and there have been some hopes of reviving it...

Several other American companies also outsourced some mug production to China. I don't think Homer Laughlin ever has, though.
