I guess it could be, I’ve been trying to find out what type of canvas Minjun used in case it’s a preparatory sketch for the larger similar painting

There are whole markets selling these paintings in China. To be fair Yue himself also had a factory making them and just signing his names on them. Unless you are getting the painting directly from him or a dealer, these are fake.
