I have been trying for some time to find out more about this necklace. I found two other ones online but neither one gave information about the maker.
The necklace is heavy and appears to be well made. Purple or lavender belong to the colours I love, but I never wear them because they seem to crush with my complexion.
Thanks for looking:)
Thanks so much, Newfld and vetraio50 :)
Thanks so much for your comments, Mary and Ms.CrystalShip:)
Usually, I don't buy this kind of necklaces. It was an impulse buy on one of the first days Value Village opened in Mississauga after the shutdown. I liked the colour and the clasps and took my chances. I agree, after so much effort, why not sign it?! Maybe it had a hang tag.
I guess the fact that your father bought you the clamper made it a very special item, MsCrystalShip. I have many pieces of jewellery but there are only a few that I am emotionally attached to. They were given to me by my grandma, her sister, my mom or my husband:)
I came across some necklaces with interesting clasps. None were exactly like mine but they may help date my necklace. They date to around the 1960's and were made by Valjean under the name "Spun Sugar". Just a thought:)
