Good morning - I recently found this Dallmeyer lens in a house that we have bought and are renovating in South Australia. It is in brought condition but would like to know what it is/age of the item. I have tried to look it up on the internet but I can't seem to find this piece or one similar. Please email kmansfield@stpetersgirls.sa.edu.au - I would really appreciate some help - thanks.
I had a very similar lens/mount that my father gave me. Mine had a motion picture shutter mechanism on it. My father said he found it at a crash site at Randolph Field, Texas, when he was in the Air Force in the 1950's. He assumed it was a gun camera lens, but that was just his guess.
