For the life of me I can't think of what they call these. It says 1934 at the bottom but if it was that old then I would think the color would be faded.

If it has been protected from direct sunlight, it should have held up well. I have pieces stitched in the 1940s by my aunt and they look bright and colorful.
Your sampler is done in cross stitch if you want to know the name of the stitches.
