Hi....I have been puzzling over this signature with no 98. Whether that is the year or vase no I cannot say. I though Ballarin may be likely, but I thought not really bright enough colouring...and it does not seem to fit??? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I would be so glad to know.
I bought this little beauty at auction and paid the handsome price of £8.00.... Very excited.... it stands 8” tall and is signed on the base... Does not show in all lighting situations.

Can't help with this one but like Jenni I really like it's design.
I'm thinking not Murano however only because of the signature. My observation is Muranese glass has small signatures and rarely dated. This seems more like an early US or Euro piece. I may be totally wrong here of course :)

Thanks so much for your kind input.... I am not stuck on Murano... It is not heavy at all...it is very fine glass.... I am not sure whether 98 is the year or piece no. Have you got any idea of where to look for maker if not Italy? I would love to hear ...
      xx
