I bought this on ebay recently after seeing SilverMachine enamel fish brooch here on CW.
Has you can see its the same fish with different coloured enamel. The first photo is mine the 2 photos of the back are the sellers. I did test the stones and I do believe they are garnet. The brooch is very well made, there is slight enamel lost to the tail, other than that it is in prefect condition. I thought it would be interesting to view both the fish, I can honestly say I hadn't seen this style of fish by Bernard Instone before I saw Ray's fish.

Sorry for the late reply Manikin. Thank you so much for your comment, it’s definitely very cheerful. I’d never seen a brooch like this by Bernard Instone until Silvermachine posted their fish, just goes to show there always something new that comes along.

Has you see from my posts I’m a complete fan of Bernard Instone and the Art and Craft movement in general. This fish is as I said before unfamiliar to me, I’d never seen one before you posted your gorgeous fish.

Thought I’d resurrect this thread and ask if anybody has found any other different colours of this brooch ? I’ve still got mine and every time I look at it I marvel at how lovely it is????
