I bought this pendant because I liked how hand made it looked and the mod style of the pendant. It's only when I got it home that I saw, with difficulty, the hammer and sickle 875 mark on the back.
I had no idea the Russians made jewellery like this and exported it. I guess this is from Soviet era but I'm sure some of you can clarify.
The other mark is in Cyrillic and I had a quick search for the makers name but didn't find it.
I don't think the stone is glass, maybe quartz?
Happy to hear from you all any comments on this piece.
I've happily been wearing it.
UPDATE
Ivan has kindly clarified this as:
Lviv Jewelry Factory, now in Ukraine.
1 in front LV in Cyrillic letters indicates year of production 1981.
Gorgeous silver geometric pendant & lovely link chain, wonderful find Karen
It's very cool and modern, I love the sharp edges on it. It kinda reminds me of a George Jensen piece? Maybe the stone in the middle is crystal quartz alright or some kind of agate?
Thanks for your comments Eileen, always good to have a jewellery person check things out.
I'm thinking the stone is crystal quartz, and what I've seen about these Russian pieces they seem to be 60s-70s, so I assume it's from around then.
It's a nice find Jenni, I'm pretty happy with it for sure and it was only $10 at the op shop so a win all round.
Thanks mate!
I can see a bit of Georg Jensen in it Lauren it's not that well made though.
Thanks for the love and comment and I agree it's pretty sharp and mod :)
This is a beauty!!! I love the chain and the design of the pendant too. Might be a crystal, you'd be right about that! Miss you!
Thanks Sue, I am still around, not so much lately. Stuff you know!
Same here, no doubt!!!
Thanks Mary, it's a cool piece.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of Russian jewellery like this around so it was a lucky find. Even better, it suits my style!
It was made by Lviv Jewelry Factory, now in Ukraine.

Thanks Ivan. As always I appreciate your knowledge!
