This 9 cm high Greek calyx krater model - at least that's what I guess it is - is apparently from Rhodes. You know the Greek island in The Mediterranean with the very old culture. Kraters were used for mixing water and wine. It's a thrift store find and I guess it has been brought back by a tourist, probably in the sec. half of the 20th century. Most of the trees on Rhodes are pine and cypress, so maybe it's turned from one of them ? But I'm not sure. Maybe you can identify the wood ?
