This is a unique vase. It's base seems to be redware pottery that was worked to be quite thin and it has a very thick crackle, high-gloss finish. The collar and vase have been wrapped in a silver metal. The base is signed, but I've had no luck identifying it. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

That metalwork suggests Asia to my eye .... India perhaps but it might also be South American.

Appears to be an example of the pottery made in Morocco.
